Laurence Antignac is a French-Vietnamese painter. She lives and works in Paris and has spent part of her life in Asia. 
Her work is nurtured by her dual cultural background, literature and the diverse nature of contemporary art. 
Her artistic exploration revolves around themes such as women relationships, family dynamics and solitude . She delves into the interplay between social presentation and conscious or unconscious concealment .  
Her paintings become a reflection of human complexity, often at odds with outward appearance.
Antignac's process begins with free- flowing sketches, gradually evolving into compositions where oil colours are applied in multiple layers and textures.
Her paintings trigger immediate emotions in resonance with the viewer who is  pulled into an intimate space where memory and reminiscence are activated organically.
An instinctive colorist, repainting and reworking are an integral part of her process and narrative.
